Come see, experience and learn about the Hawaii Ocean Science and Technology (HOST) Park administered by the Natural Energy Laboratory of Hawaii Authority (NELHA), up-close. Tour begins at the beautiful Kona Sea Salt Farm, producing the only sea salt in the world made from pure, 900 year-old deep ocean water. The engaging presentation includes the history, purpose, current operations at HOST Park as well as information on advances in science, technology and engineering and innovative uses of sunlight and seawater combined with the research support provided by NELHA at the HOST Park campus. Learn about Hawaii’s Clean Energy Goals and how innovation at HOST Park is working toward meeting those goals on the Island of Hawaii, and Hawaii Tourism Authority’s Malama Hawaii program.
Keahole Center for Sustainability is a nonprofit that focuses particularly on technology showcased on the Big Island and here at NELHA.
